The Seasonal Snap: Sourcing by the Sun
How the change in seasons dictates the texture and flavor of our daily boxes.
Nature’s Timing
At The Daily Crunch, we don’t fight the seasons; we celebrate them. A carrot in winter has a different density and sweetness than one harvested in the spring. Understanding these subtle shifts is what allows us to deliver the perfect crunch every single day.
Spring: The Awakening
As the ground warms, we look for the first snap peas and tender asparagus shoots. This is the season of “The Awakening,” where our boxes are filled with light, refreshing textures and zesty, herb-infused dips that mirror the energy of London in bloom.
Summer: Peak Hydration
In the height of summer, it’s all about hydration. Crisp cucumbers, vibrant peppers, and juicy radishes take center stage. Our “Dip of the Day” moves toward lighter, more acidic profiles—think lemon, mint, and fresh yogurt.
Autumn and Winter: Sweet Cold
The cold weather brings out the sweetness in root vegetables. Carrots and parsnips become our stars, paired with deeper, more savory dips like roasted garlic and cumin-spiced hummus.
Every season has a sound. We make sure it’s a snap.
